Issues with Zemismart M6 Hub exposing Thermostatic Radiator Valve to Apple HomeKit

I am experiencing issues with my Zemismart M6 Hub gateway and its connected Zigbee Thermostatic Radiator Valve in Apple HomeKit.

First I have added Gateway to SmartLife App, then I have added it to Apple HomeKit using "Share via Matter Gateway" option.
Then I added the valve to gateway as sub-device in SmartLife App and then it exposed itself automatically to Apple Homekit.

Valve is working in SmartLife App as expected.

But in Apple HomeKit shows only current temperature from Thermostatic Radiator Valve. I cannot set the desired temperature (manual mode), set the work mode (on/off/manual/auto) or check the battery level. Also the device shows as not responding (On screenshots: "Brak odp." or "Akcesorium nie odpowiada" = "Device is not responding").

Gateway details:
Virtual ID: bfdf75c96ee0c4d9777kq5
Main module version: 1.1.30

Zigbee Thermostatic Radiator Valve details:
Virtual ID: bf8dad0ac65cd7df17jdar

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Based on the device conversion files, I don't see any configuration errors. Have you tried bridging the devices to other Matter platforms for testing, such as Home Assistant (HA)?

Thank you for your answear.

I have resetted to factory defaults everything couple of times, including restarting my Thread Board Router (Apple TV) and made some progress.
First of all I have tried to bridge device to Google Home (I don't have Home Assistant access at the moment) as you suggested. And the result was even worse as even Zemismart Hub was not responding.

But i don't need Google Home, so back to Apple HomeKit integration:
When I first bridge Zemismart Hub with Apple HomeKit and then add sub-device (Thermostatic Radiator Valve) via SmartLife then the result is as described in my first post.
But, when I delete Zemismart Hub from my home in Apple HomeKit, and then readd Zemismart Hub to Apple HomeKit again with subdevice already connected to the hub, then Thermostatic Radiator Valve is working almost as expected.

I can view and set temeprature, change working mode (but only on or off).

So, there are two problems right now:

  • cannot add new sub-devices to already connected Hub to Apple HomeKit. I cannot delete and readd Hub to Apple HomeKit every time I add new sub-device, because I will loose automations, etc. configured in Apple HomeKit everytime I do that.
  • cannot set manual/auto working mode via Apple HomeKit, only on/off mode.

New virtual id's:
Gateway: bf01bc60ae4a5633fdgoaa
Valve1: bfd0e02948c5731020dh6b
Valve2: bf4ce24af0931e8466nsyn

Can you share some guidance in this matter?

After some more poking around it turns out that if I add unresponding valve to scene in Apple HomeKit and configure it to set the temperature, and then run this scene, the valve becomes fully available and responsive. There is no need to remove and readd Hub back to Apple HomeKit to make it available. :)

So the only request is to change the behavior of "Heat" (Grzanie) mode in Apple HomeKit to set the device to Manual mode, instead of On mode. For me there is no need to expose all four modes, only change the "Heat" mode behavior because it looks like it is not correct. When I use scene or automation in Apple HomeKit to set the desired target tempearture on Valve, it sets the Valve to On mode, instead of Manual mode and the thermostat built in Valve is not used.

Based on your text and pictures, I understand your requirement: to map Apple Home's Heat mode to Tuya's Manual mode, rather than the On mode. I have made the modification according to your requirements. Please restart the gateway, wait for the conversion file to update, and then verify.
