Q1: Failed to add sub-devices in engineering mode?
A1:
(1) Make sure the sub-devices are in network configuration mode.
(2) Check if the corresponding PID of the sub-devices is added in the construction template.
(3) If the corresponding sub-device is added in the template, check if the PID in the template is consistent with the actual PID of the sub-device being used.

Q2: Failed to add a gateway in engineering mode using the Smart Engineering app?
A2:
(1) Make sure the gateway is in network configuration mode.
(2) If the gateway is in network configuration mode in normal mode and then switched to engineering mode for network configuration, which causes abnormal network configuration packets, you can kill the Smart Engineering app and try adding again.
(3) Make sure the phone and the gateway are in the same local area network. Note: For Wi-Fi network configuration, the phone needs to connect to the gateway's AP, and for wired network configuration, the phone and the gateway need to be in the same local area network.
(4) Check if the gateway has a separate engineering mode PID for the normal PID. If not, contact Tuya business for association. Otherwise, if the default engineering PID "ZkOA5uJGrtu4R2f8" is not used in the construction template, it will cause the addition to fail.

Q3: Unable to use compound scene switches in engineering mode?
A3:
(1) Check if the gateway supports the compound scene switch capability in engineering mode. You can search the gateway logs to see if the "enable_muti_scene" field is set to true.
(2) Update the gateway SDK.

Q4: Unable to execute cross-gateway linkage in engineering mode?
A4:
(1) Check if the gateway supports cross-gateway linkage in engineering mode. You can search the gateway logs to see if the "enable_muti_gateway" field is set to true.
(2) Check if the Zigbee standard scene is associated. Cross-gateway linkage is not supported for standard scenes.
(3) Update the gateway SDK.

Q5: Where to download the Smart Engineering app?

(1) For Android, search "Smart Engineering" in the application store.
(2) For iOS, search "Smart Engineering - Intelligent Scene Delivery Tool" in the application store.

Q6: What mode is the gateway in when it is restarted in engineering mode?
A6: Engineering mode.

Q7: During the construction process, if I exit engineering mode and then enter engineering mode again, will the previous engineering mode data still be there?
A7: Only the mode is switched, and the construction data still exists in the gateway. The construction data will be cleared in the following cases:
(1) After completing the construction and submitting the deployment, switching to normal mode and activating it will clear the data in engineering mode.
(2) In engineering mode, pressing the local button for 5s (10s) and then clicking 5 times (10 times) within the next 5 seconds (10 seconds) will trigger a local reset of the gateway, which will clear the construction data.
(3) If the construction is not completed and switched to normal mode for activation, performing a factory reset will clear the construction data.

Q8: After submitting the deployment in construction mode and activating it in normal mode, the scene automation information is not synchronized?
A8: If the on-site network environment is poor, wait a little longer. If it still fails to synchronize after 5 minutes, it is likely that the network is too poor and the 3 attempts have failed. In this case, you need to restart the gateway to synchronize again.
