Introduction
Tuya Bluetooth sub-devices support activation, connection, and control through both mobile Bluetooth and gateway Bluetooth channels. If a sub-device is activated via mobile Bluetooth and the user wishes to control it remotely through a gateway, the sub-device needs to be associated with a specific gateway. Tuya's smart home platform supports automatic association capabilities, allowing sub-devices activated via mobile Bluetooth to automatically associate with a gateway, eliminating the need for manual association by the user.

Automatic Association Scenarios
Tuya Bluetooth sub-devices are categorized into SIG Mesh sub-devices, BLE single-point sub-devices, and Tuya Beacon Mesh sub-devices based on different application protocols. The automatic association scenarios for SIG Mesh sub-devices and BLE single-point sub-devices are consistent, with some variations due to the lack of relay support in BLE single-point devices. Below are examples using SIG Mesh sub-devices and BLE single-point sub-devices to illustrate the different behaviors in automatic association scenarios,RGBCW is a SIG Mesh light, Ty_ble_sdk_xxx is a BLE door lock, and 2023.2XXX is a gateway that supports automatic association:

1.SIG Mesh sub-devices are activated via mobile Bluetooth first, followed by gateway activation, and the sub-device will automatically associate with the gateway.

2.BLE single-point sub-devices are activated via mobile Bluetooth first, followed by gateway activation. The app will prompt the user to choose the associated gateway.

3.SIG Mesh sub-devices and BLE single-point sub-devices are activated via mobile Bluetooth first, followed by gateway activation. The app will prompt the user to choose the associated gateway.

4.The gateway is activated first, followed by SIG Mesh sub-device activation, and the sub-device will automatically associate with the gateway.

5.The gateway is activated first, followed by BLE single-point sub-device activation. The app will prompt the user to choose the associated gateway.

6.The gateway is activated first, followed by simultaneous activation of SIG Mesh sub-devices and BLE single-point sub-devices. The app will prompt the user to choose the associated gateway.

7.Multiple gateways are activated first, followed by SIG Mesh sub-device or BLE single-point sub-device activation. The app will prompt the user to choose one of the gateways for association.

Summary
1.In scenarios where only SIG Mesh sub-devices are present, and there is only one gateway, the sub-device will automatically associate with the gateway.
2.In scenarios with BLE single-point sub-devices, the app will prompt the user to choose the gateway for sub-device association.
3.In scenarios with multiple gateways, the app will prompt the user to choose the gateway for sub-device association.
