Dear all,

I am writing to express my concerns regarding a potential violation of the GNU General Public License (GPL) by your company.

It has come to my attention that one of your devices use tuya firmware wich is based on a Linux kernel,
and Linux kernel is released under GNU General Public License (GPL).

As you may be aware, the GPL is designed to ensure that software and its derivatives remain open
and accessible. Compliance with the GPL is not only a legal requirement.
It seems that the source code, specifically, Linux anyka 4.4.192V2.1 #4 Thu Dec 2 06:31:09 PST 2021 armv5tejl GNU/Linux
has not been made available as required by the GPL, despite requests for the kernel source code,
it appears that your company has not fulfilled this obligation.

I respectfully request that your company take immediate steps to:

  • Provide the complete and unmodified source code for the kernel as mandated by the GPL.

  • Providing clear and accessible instructions on how to obtain the source code.

  • Ensuring that future releases of GPL-licensed software comply fully with the terms of the license.

I believe that resolving this issue promptly will benefit both
your company and the wider open-source community.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. I look forward to your prompt response.

Best regards,
