Hello,
I have an issue with a temperature and humidity sensor(ID: bf5de5ad2fa353e0fekowx) connected to the Moes Matter hub and integrated via Matter with Google Home and HomeKit. The humidity level always shows 40%. The temperature is displayed correctly. In the Tuya app, everything is displayed properly.

Is it possible to fix this so the correct humidity level is displayed through Matter?

Hello, we have received your abnormal feedback, we will analyze the cause of the anomaly and the solution as soon as possible, please wait patiently for my next reply.

Re: Incorrect readings from temperature and humidity sensor via Matter

Hi, I have made some analysis based on the information you provided, but I am sorry that the abnormal cause has not been located for the time being. As you described, the temperature and humidity in tuya App are normal and keep changing, and I am confused why the humidity keeps 40% in Google Home and HomeKit.

If conditions permit, I hope you can do the following to help me better analyze exceptions:
(1) Remove the abnormal temperature and humidity sensor, reconfigure it under the gateway, and then bridge to Google Home and HomeKit again, and observe the temperature and humidity values in different apps, and please tell me the operation time and the result.
(2) If you have the same type of temperature and humidity, you can also try to replace a hardware for (1) operation.

These are the steps that I can think of for the time being to help the investigation, and I will timely inform you if there are new ideas in the future. At the same time, I also hope that you can synchronize the status of the device with me, thank you very much.

Re: Incorrect readings from temperature and humidity sensor via Matter

I followed all the steps as instructed:

I used another sensor of the same model to conduct the tests. I configured the new sensor with the gateway, connected it to Google Home and HomeKit, and checked the temperature and humidity values in different apps. Unfortunately, the issue persists — humidity values via Matter remain incorrect.

The sensor model is MOES ZSS-S01-TH

Please let me know if you have any further suggestions or guidance.

Please provide the id of the relevant device and the time of operation. At the same time, I would like to confirm with you again whether the anomaly of the phenomenon is the humidity level always shows 40%?

Re: Incorrect readings from temperature and humidity sensor via Matter

Thank you for your response. The sensor has been operating for 14 days. Yes, the issue is that the humidity level always shows 40% through Matter (while at the moment the Tuya app shows 67.7%).

hello,
Sorry for the long wait, I have updated the relevant matter configuration of the corresponding device, and since I cannot find the same type of device for the time being, I cannot verify the correctness, so please kindly try again: first remove the sensor, then add the digital gateway again, and then bridge to Google Home and HomeKit. Observe whether the temperature and humidity are displayed normally.
Hope to get your reply.

Re: Incorrect readings from temperature and humidity sensor via Matter

Hello,
It looks like there is an issue with displaying decimal points. In HomeKit, the humidity shows as 562%, while in the Tuya app, it displays as 56.2%.

hi,
Glad to receive such a quick response from you, can humidity now change normally in Google and Apple environments?

If it is just a decimal point problem, it is easy to solve, I will update the configuration immediately, you can see that after the reply, try to remove it again, and then re-connect the device to the gateway before bridging. I hope this optimization can solve this problem perfectly.

Thank you for your feedback and cooperation. Looking forward to your next reply.

Re: Incorrect readings from temperature and humidity sensor via Matter

The humidity in Google Home and HomeKit is now displayed correctly. It has the same value as in the Tuya app.

Thank you very much for your help.
