I have just now tested device ID bfe5eae7f1585756c8lxxg. It unlocked successfully, but timed out on locking as usual. I will do so again tomorrow and let you know the time.

I am in Melbourne, so time difference is only 2 hours. Happy to find a time to stay online with you to test.

BTW, not sure how having the ability to lock a deadlock could be a unique requirement of mine...

You have it exactly right. The locks work fine in the Tuya app, but connected to Home Assistant via Matter, they can only be unlocked. When I try to lock them, they time out.

All 3 behave consistently.

Just checking if you have any plans to add locking functionality to the Matter schema so that your Zigbee locks can be used successfully in other environments via Matter?

OK, thanks. Seems like a major functionality hole. Very odd that one can remotely unlock, but not lock, a door.
